Jennifer Scotland Memorial 7v7
On Saturday - October 20th:
The Virginia Rush will host an adult only 7-a-side tournament in memory of Jennifer V. Scotland, who lost her battle with cancer on September 22, 2007. The event will benefit the Scotland family: Jennifer's husband, Robert, and their four children. The Scotland family has been active in the Virginia Beach soccer community for years. Jennifer could be seen on the sidelines of her children's games; always their biggest fan. Robert continues to give to the youth in the community, coaching several teams for different organizations.
Who:
The co-ed 7-a-side event is for any player U16 and up in the area who wishes to aid the Scotland family in recovering from their loss. Individuals will be randomly assigned to teams on-site. Parents, players, coaches, and players of any experience level are invited to play.
Where:
Hampton Roads Soccer Complex
When:
Saturday, October 20 from 2:00PM until 6:00PM. Games will begin at 2:00 PM. Participants should arrive at the Complex by 1:30 for registration.
